Basic Wastewater Treatment Using Simulator Model (WWT-02-SIM):
The purpose of this three-day course is to allow new/entry level operators with the basic understanding of wastewater treatment process units. We will be using a user-friendly simulator model to allow operators to understand how the various different components of wastewater treatment plant works and how they impact overall effluent quality.
What will be covered?
- Regulations to wastewater treatment system
- Basic math and chemistry
- Role of physical, chemical and biological treatment processes
- Use of simulator mode to understand the different units individually and how they function together to meet effluent standards
