Controlling Wastewater Collection – Inflow & Infiltration (WWC-12-CT):

This one-day course explores the techniques and equipment used by wastewater collection system operators to identify and control the inflow and infiltration.

The course explores the sources of infiltration and inflow through such means as: flow testing, dye testing, smoke testing, as closed-circuit television, and other techniques to help discover inflow and infiltration problems. The latter portion of the course introduces methods of repairing and controlling inflow and infiltration.

  • List causes of infiltration
  • State the methods of locating the sources of infiltration and inflow
  • Describe the methods that are in common use to control infiltration and inflow
  • List some of the do’s and don’ts in providing excellent customer services
