COVID-19 and Drinking Water (WT-19-CT):
To date, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and other global think tanks, there is no evidence that COVID-19 virus raises any concerns in the drinking water. However, it is important to note that this information is continuously evolving as we are learning more about this pandemic and scientific research is unfolding. Drinking water regulations use a multi-barrier approach to ensure safe and reliable drinking water from source to tap.
Objectives: the objective of this course is to gain an understanding of how a viral outbreak becomes a pandemic and how our water systems help keep us safe.

- The multi barrier approach to drinking water
- Overview and disinfection technologies
- Is the current disinfection sufficient to inactivate viruses like COVID-19?
- COVID-19 and CT values
- Lessons learned from COVID-19 pandemic and next steps to ensure safe drinking water from source to tap
